A very nice delay indeed, and for the price, there is nothing not to like. The controls are very usable, and the switch between short and long is great. In my rig (at least), I found this to be a tone enhancing pedal, rather than tone sapping.

I recently got the Soda Drive + and I’m very impressed by this pedal. My favorite setting is the Standard Soda Drive Distortion, pretty much the best sounding overdrive/distortion I’ve found in a long time. Very natural and amp-like, plus it sounds amazing with single coil pickups (the neck pickup in particular). The other settings, Booster Mode and Germanium Diode, are great to have as well, although there is this slight fizz sound almost above the notes, if that makes sense. Kind of like this fizzy halo that gives single notes and chords a little extra edge. Overall, this is a great pedal with plenty of punch to it.

I was just wondering about the pedal's video. I realise this isn't supposed to be on here but is you are using solid-state or valve and is the amp cranked or not as that will affect whether I can really use the fuzz pedal as shown in the video? I love the pedal btw, a bit like a half-way house between a russian and a triangle Muff!

Nice little pedal, goes from overdrive to distortion and all points in between. Drives my valve amp a treat and gives my tranny amp a nice crunchy sound, far better than the dirty channel. Might have to move it from my small board onto my main board.

Gigged last night with a Dual Booster and it was fantastic! Really punchy boosts for picked parts and leads, and worked excellently with my Raygun-modded Rat and fuzz.

A great little pedal. I already have a delay, the MXR Carbon Copy, and it matches that quality found there in a pedal double the price of this beauty. Great space saver, too. Worth a purchase! Will definitely be using in future Flares recordings and songs myself.

This pedal is awesome. I use it in on my board as a low gain drive pedal and it does the job more than perfectly! It looks wicked, its made well, and it will be on my board for many years to come! I highly recommend the soda drive.

Ordered myself one of these last week, with specifications of a custom design, to put in my rig and use on my band's 2nd upcoming release. This is HANDS DOWN the best Fuzz pedal / Distortion and guitar pedal I have ever used. I've had numerous distortions and such over the years, but this thing is just pure filth. Seriously, if it was a film it would be rated 18. I've used this on my bass (Squire Jaguar VM Short Scale) and one of my guitars (Westfield e4500 Les Paul Copy), its so damn satisfying to use. From subtle slight OD over your tone to monstrous crushing fuzz / distortion , this pedal is an absolute beast and I can't wait to record with it. For the price, this is highly worth it and you will not regret it. Custom design also looks brilliant, the craftsmanship and care that goes into these pedals is wonderful. Do yourself a favor and get yourself one !

I love this pedal. Absolutely love it. The tone I get while using the Soda Drive is incredible. For a distortion pedal I was impressed with the clarity this thing has. I frequently use it for lead boosting. Combined with my Soul Food I couldn't ask for more. Definitely worth the cost. Since I've played on it for a few months now I'm reminded of the old Blues Breaker circuits of acdc era music. Love it! This pedal will be on my board for years to come.

I'm a singer-songwriter and most of my songs fall on the mellow side. However, I wrote a few songs that needed a little extra punch and a dirtier sound. This FX pedal worked like a charm. I'm able to control the amount of distortion I need and I'm having fun with all the various sounds I get out of it by trying different picking techniques. It's very responsive and has a beautiful sustain. Can't wait to gig with it!

The Beef Box is the perfect fuzz pedal for my bass - it provides a nasty, fat, industrial, synthy distortion. The first time I gigged with it I was complimented on my "ferocious" bass sound by another musician on the bill and I've since had a number of other people come up asking how I got my bass sound and saying they wanted a Beef Box too. My other half was overcome with beef envy and so he also bought one for his guitar. I heartily recommend it - it does exactly what it says on the tin!

I bought a Fuzz Bender II just before the MKIII came out, but I still love the thing! It makes a perfectly messy low-fi fuzz, reminiscent of "13"-era Graham Coxon. I recorded a little instrumental demo through my phone, but you can still here how great this thing sounds: https://soundcloud.com/jonic/20140924-143507a There's also an Aurora LoFi Delay-Verb on that demo, but the main effect in evidence is the fuzz. I'd definitely recommend this pedal. My only reservation is that the foot-switch is a bit stiff, but over time it'll wear in, I'm sure. That doesn't change the fact that it sounds great, though!

This pedal blows a lot of others I've used straight out of the proverbial water! It can do anything from gnarly synth-like fuzz sounds to classic SVT style overdrive. I use a heartless, lightweight, high wattage head with a small cab, and this pedal completely transforms my sound. Its one of those pedals that you can just leave on all the time. You should go get one… two. You should get two!

This is the first fuzz pedal of mine that has managed to stay on my board for more than a couple of weeks. I usually like the idea of a fuzz sound initially but then after a while get restless with it and trade or sell it – not this one. It's so subtle when it needs to be (I recommend playing around with the volume knob, not not only the fuzz knob) and can get real angry along with amp distortion and/or dirt/boost pedals you already happen to own.

I came across this pedal on instagram when searching fuzz pedals. I seen it pop up a few times and was intrigues by the artwork design., I was sold on the first viewing of the demo. I have many fuzz pedals and have to say this feels and responds very differently to everything else I own, I use it with an 88 American strat with singe coils through a Fender Hot rod deluxe and and it really gives a thumping feeling when playing. Some fuzz type pedals are a little hard to control but these seems easy and I can definitely see it being used in my live rig because of this, The pedal was delivered quickly, the communication i had through Facebook was great and it even arrived in a nice little box, all looked super professional. Can't recommend this pedal enough and will be back to try out the other pedals by ray gun. Bring on the Fuzz!

This is an amazing pedal that really emphasises all the good parts about your bass tone and a very decent overdrive that doesn't get lost in the mix. i was a little apprehensive about buying a pedal online due to some bad experiences with other manufacturers, but this is the real deal. The vol control actually improved the quality of my bass tone and the overdrive control is spot-on: warm, cutting but in no way harsh or too trebly - it really does presserve the low end of your sound. Excellent quality, great sounding overdrive for most styles of music (apart from Metal maybe?) even on solid state amps. Oh, and it's really low noise too. Thoroughly recommend!

This fuzz went beyond my expectations. It's is grimy and disgusting - which is exactly what I love. It took the bass-y fuzz I love from the big muff, but stepped it up to a different realm sonically. Plus it looks fabulous! No surprise that this pedal is nothing but great! My board is slowly turning into a Raygun FX board and that isn't a complaint. 🙂

Got my "Vintage Tremolo" as a Christmas present and when I final got around to playing it I was beyond satisfied. It's warm and flexible... Not to mention the ambient sound this pedal creates is almost worth it alone! Can't wait to get some more cash and buy more RaygunFX! Worth every penny in my opinion.

As a musician who's sound is completely dependant on the use of Fuzz pedals (I use three fuzz's at a time) I always look for cool, independent, underground pedal companies capable of providing crazy and interesting sounds and the 'Blue fuzz' is most definitely one of those pedals. It's completely unique tone is so good for post punk, rock and roll, grunge and garage rock types of music.. It's also pretty awesome to look at. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique, cool sound.

Hi Ross! They are both exactly the same circuit, we did use a different amp when recording the original larger case and I believe we had to use a Virtual amp to record the smaller one. gorgeous sound, but a quick question: asides aesthetics, are there any obvious differences between the regular stomp box and the large case version? from the demos the larger beef box just seemed to have a much more desireable, punchier sound, yknow? also, would a large case version cost more to have made than the regular? cheers!
